Actually SC, one could do the approx 5000lbs of payload part with one of the newer Class 4 gvwr 35 series trucks, or a 450. Even an older class 3 35 series truck could do 5000 lbs, It would have to be a reg cab, maybe a stripped ext or crew cab........still use the std pickup bed. Now you are getting into where the tail is wagging the dog per say vs the other way around. Hence why I use the GRAWR vs trailer wt. Then again, one should use total payload needed. Frontal area, wind drag of the setup, along with tire diam, number of gears is trans, type of trans, AC, what other power options in the cab to come up with the proper gvwr, axel ratings, hp, torque etc needed to make said rig perform as the end user wants it to, not some other engineer that says said twuck will pull x lbs safe and sainly!
