I rented a Ford truck just before Christmas. One completely epic design failure is how there's a bunch of buttons and knobs below the vent on the left side of the steering wheel. All of those knobs where hidden from view behind the steering wheel, and were extremely low for quick operation.
As seen in this video.They are practically at knee level.
I also didn't care for the excessive number of buttons for operating the cruise control. There were 5 buttons. GM has fewer buttons (at least my 2009 has fewer).
The door panels are extremely thick. Some of the controls on the door panels are a long reach compared to what I'm accustomed to in GM trucks.
Check out the ergonomics and layout of the controls and gauges before deciding on something other than a GM.
