Older videos from 2013 driving 2014 models from TFL... I know they are kind of corny but I enjoy their videos, entertaining at the least. Basically they hook 10k up to the trucks and race to the top....

When we went FT got a new truck with diesel because:
Needed bigger truck to match larger 5vr
Diesel because we would be traveling all over the USA..east/west, north/south and in between
Prior to that truck was gas 1/2 ton........and it did everything we needed it to do at the time.
22' pontoon boat to the mtn. lakes
20' 5vr up 9 mile canyon road in Sierras to Troy Meadows CG
Properly matched combos.......then road grades don't matter.
Never knew it was a race.
