110 Volt grounding ???
Why is the trailer metallic skin or metal frame parts not grounded back on 110 Volt. Is this because it is also the ground for the 12 volt system ??

Just another note, there should be an isolator circuit from your truck to your trailer. So if something weird does happen with your trailer, it shouldn't affect your tow vehicle. So anything weird should be isolated to your trailer.
