You can tow that TT with most 1/2 tons.
If you ever have an inkling you may want significantly more trailer, you may want to go straight to 3/4 ton.
But you'd be fine with a 1/2 ton. I towed a nearly 7K trailer with my 1/2 ton Silverado. Did just fine.
