1/2 ton cement mixer.......

I'll leave at this.

Only real issue towing is was the 5000 or so lbs of moving mass on trailer. Otherwise at 7-8000 lbs total it was not a big deal...

My son took a picture jack knifed in back of my daughter, his younger sisters yard....I'll if I can get it.

  • Pull empty, feed sand, gravel, and cement to it when you get to pour site? Bought a yard of cement one time already mixed. Drove 25 miles. With the road conditions all the water came to the top and I thought I was going to end up with a square cube of cement. Live and learn.
  • Nice pic Marty! That new to you truck still shows the sparkle, that goes with pride of ownership! I'm sure that mixer would tow with less resistance than a 7,500 lb TT. If you could feel the load turning/tugging on the hitch, it would feel weird, especially at more than slow speed.

  • Power wise mine is not bad. IF the concrete place is anywhere close to correct wieghts. Trailer is 2500. Concrete per yard he was saying 4500...I've heard 3300-3500 lbs per yd.. Had 1.25 yds.... I held 55-60 on local freeway grades driving the 15 mile's to daughters house. I could see an older rig being under powered per say. I did every bit as good as towing with my 2000 C2500 with a vortec350.

  • I looked at one of those years ago but the dealer said our F150 was too weak to pull it.
