I just jumped from a 2008 Tundra (10,300 lb tow capacity) to a Ram 2500 (12,500 lb tow capacity) both gassers (5.7 to 6.4). The reason I jumped was not so much tow capacity as haul capacity. The tundra has a 1300lb haul capacity. If you het much toung weight on the trailer and put 4 adults in the cab you are at or above you haul capacity. I wanted plenty of haul capacity plus I may jump to a small 5th wheel later. I currently have a toy hauler (8700 lb)
