Maybe I'm out of line here but there are a lot of posts of what can a half ton truck haul/pull. If the restrictions are a question, why not throw a couple bucks more considering the many years investment and get a 3/4 ton. Present and future worries done. I never expected that my faithful half tons would never be able to handle any boat I would ever want. Well, who knows what kind of a boat a stupid person would buy? Poor ol' half tons, one barfed tranny fluid and the other screamed through the rear end. So entered the F-350 as in my sig. All's quiet and easy going. I'm not saying everyone is dumb enough to buy a boat their truck can't handle but in the life of RVing or any fun endeavor, the tow truck is probably the most important and expensive part of the investment so why not invest in the future. The F-350 looked pretty silly pulling the last 24' trailer but looks in style with the boat or toy hauler.. IMO..
