1/2 ton trucks?

So What's the point in in one ton duellies ? They're pretty much useless as daily drivers. Are they the week-end warriors of the truck world ??

I have a 3/4 and a one ton DRW and both get our groceries from time to time.

The grocery getter is coined by mostly folks that use one ton trucks and very ignorant persons on the subject that knows little about trucks.

The half ton trucks has GVWRs that range from 6xxx GVWR with 3800 lb RAWR up to 8600 GVWR and 6084 lb RAWR... So what is a grocery getter.

Some cant haul much others are not so bad.

Depending on the brand/trim/configuration the payloads can be as low as the 800's or in to the 3000# range. Same for towing. Around 5k all the way to 12k.

Not true at all. They do an adequate job if kept within their specifications, just like any pickup truck. The key is the correct tool for the job.
