Completely agree with Burbman and others....get loaded up, including all the stuff you normally take including people, and head for the CAT scales...it'll cost you about $15 - $20 to get everything weighed and you will need to unhook. If you aren't sure about the specific numbers for your Tundra, take the VIN# to the dealer and they can pull it up for you...a Tundra is not necessarily the same as the Tundra next to it. If you're overweight, you're overweight. If you're even close, I'd get rid of that 76 gallons of water @ 8.3# per gallon...that's a lot of extra weight.
My rant for this morning is those who say "I'm only going about 100 miles and it's pretty flat"....well, it only takes pulling out of your driveway being poorly equipped to have a disaster. So what do you say to the others involved in this, "I was only......."? Tell it to the Highway Patrol and your insurance company. If you knew you were overweight and headed down the highway anyway, I'd bet your insurance wouldn't be worth a hoot.
