My rant for this morning is those who say "I'm only going about 100 miles and it's pretty flat"....well, it only takes pulling out of your driveway being poorly equipped to have a disaster. So what do you say to the others involved in this, "I was only......."? Tell it to the Highway Patrol and your insurance company. If you knew you were overweight and headed down the highway anyway, I'd bet your insurance wouldn't be worth a hoot.
I'll say this...if someone in my family were ever involved in an accident with someone towing an RV, and the person doing the towing was at fault, the first thing I would do is determine how safe their setup is as far as what they can tow given the suspension ratings, engine, etc. If they would be exceeding safety limitations the lawsuit would not be kind. For everybody who thinks "if it feels OK it's OK" that's fine for your life. Don't even think about putting the lives of MY family at risk because it "feels right" to you.
