For some reason saying it's a 3/4 makes it better. We know different, over weight is over weight within the ratings is just that for any truck, even the lowly 1/2 ton.
Oh yeah, I've seen way too many 3/4 ton trucks hauling mammoth 5th wheels down the road, and I would have been shocked if they were not overloaded, some by a big amount.
No problem with people towing with 1/2 ton trucks, 3/4 ton, or 1 ton as long as they're within the specs.
I know that somewhere down the line and ALL the kids and their friends are done camping, my wife and I will be downsizing and it will be a 3/4 ton at most and a 1/2 ton more than likely towing something smaller than we have now.
