The SAE J2807 does not address the most limiting RV towing point - payload. It also does not address typical driveability differences. It focuses on engine cooling, acceleration at wide open throttle, and braking. Cooling is important, but IMHO, not as much the others. Few people ever use WOT even towing. IMHO, the SAE towing spec provides little market value.
