The ONLY difference between a 12 volt TV and a 110 volt TV is the transformer. Some 110 volt TV's have an external brick to convert line voltage to 12 volt, while some 110 volt TV's have an internal transformer. NO TV utilizes line voltage to run the components.
So if you buy a 110 volt tv with an external (brick)transformer you can run it off of 12 volt when 110 is not available by just getting a cord. Why you would want to invert the 12 volt to 110 volt to then have the brick convert the voltage back to 12 volts is beyond me specially when you have a pure 12 volt DC off the battery.
When you go to the store just look for a unit with an external transformer.
BESTBUY Insignia brand and Walmart Sceptre brands have external transformers as do many others
