12 years old - "matching" truck and camper

She may be 12 years old, she may be mostly stock, she may not be as awesome looking as others, but she loves pulling our 32 footer and providing our family with amazing memories like the champ she is!

Another very much amazing weekend in the books... Already looking forward to the next one...

2006 Dodge Ram
2006 Starcraft Antigua

We love our pair!

  • Campground owner's use the 10 year old rule to keep undesirable units. I have never seen it enforced with a clean well kept RV in the campgrounds I've been at.

Where I store my RV they have clamped down as well. People with junk units were paying a month or two rent and abandoned the RV. It was a ordeal to get rid of it and took a long time to go through the legal process then having to pay to have it hauled off.

Well, that's a new one on me. :) Never heard of that rule. Never had anyone mention it either... We'll keep camping until they kick us out. ;-)

There are uppity campgrounds that ask when you call, of course what they are trying to do is keep Cousin' Eddie out. If you get an inexperienced person at the desk, they might just draw the line, giving you a choice of lying or going elsewhere. Many RVs look abused in a few years but I have no doubt that yours would not have an issue if they saw the unit, so keep a photo handy to send in. Of course some of us would not want to stay at an uppity place anyway.

  • I have been in 10 year rules campgrounds wiith my ‘94 motorhome. For some places it is about how they look, not the age.

    I hear that!
18 years old on these 2000’s and better than new.
No 10 year **** rule out west.
  • Just think, you are not welcome at the 10 year rule campgrounds.
