Burningman is close to it now. Work vs fun, and how much money.
As an old flea bitten engineer, the tunes only work when you want or need them. What percentage of the total time on the road is that? 5% maybe, 1% or less, of your time with the hammer down is more like it. The truck spends hours, with just a little pedal at 65 mph (ST tires on the camper) for each second at WOT. Working that out by the dollar per hour of time at WOT? A lot of money to tune and delete, plus beefing up the rest of the power train.
Not worth it for work. However, for fun, go for it! That keeps a lot of people working.
A classic Work (4 letter word) verses Fun (3 letter word) argument. Both are right based on the starting assumptions.
