So it appears this is the year for batteries. I have to replace the batteries in my Golf Cart and I need a new battery for the RV. I'm not interested in running 2 6v batteries in series as I never dry camp. But I would like a battery that's sufficient to run lights and such for a couple of hours should the power fail. My golf cart uses 12v US Batteries with 155 amp hours/20hr rate, 77 minutes at 75amp and 292 minutes at 25amp, can I use that battery in my RV? Would it be better than a standard Marine/Rv battery from Walmart?
will it work? yes.
would it be better than a standard RV/Marine battery? Likely will last longer and run longer, but better? depends on how you define better.
Given what you need I suspect a decent RV marine battery will serve you well and be less expensive.
since you don't dry camp, IMHO your not a candidate for a deep discharge or high end marine battery, just a decent marine battery. something that will last you for a few hours.
