2013 and 2014 2500hd and 3500's are the same. The 2013's gas motors have the 3.73's as standard gears for 2014 4.10's are now standard. So if you want the 3.73's get a 2013 4.10's are harder to find. 4.10's will be easier to find in a 2014. If you are looking for an extended cab you have to get a 2013 they are not making any 2014 extended cabs. You will like the heavier chassis of the 2500hd vs the 1500. A small benefit is the 36 gallon fuel tank. Wether you get 3.73 or 4.10's there is not much difference in fuel mileage. The 4.10's will not have to shift down as much. Just find the truck you want
