No one wants to hear the truth about these Cummins powered trucks, and of course you being the proud owner of a 2015 this emission thing is for real. Yes it was a serious safety issue, if the track bar came loose you got a problem with steering.
You better hope that 2015 got some decent welds on it, I have looked at a lot of 2015's ,and the track bar welding, and I could see no difference in weld quality , and trust me I spent 42 plus years in the welding business . I know good from bad, neither the 2014, 2015 look that great. Couldn't tell the difference in weld quality, by visual anyway. Thats all they did on the start of the recall was visually inspected the welds. Soon as I heard I did my own inspection.
You might want to keep an eye on that track bar on the 2015, same crappy design as the 2014, at least now I have the reinforcement brackets on mine.
