1500 and hitch or holdout for 2500

Well I sold my 2011 gmc 1500 crewcab over 2 months ago because I just didn't like the way it pulled my trailer. Yes hitch was setup correctly. I am having a hard time finding a 2500 that's in my budget and has the equipment of the last one. Seems like there are few gas 2500's and less loaded ones. Thinking of going back to the 1500 and getting one of those fancy high dollar hitches. I hate to keep waiting cause I sure do miss a truck but know the 2500 is probably difference in night and day on pulling....signed Frustrated
  • You've learned that a 1500 isn't enough.
If you're going to have to buy a "high dollar hitch", whatever that means, I'd just put that money toward the truck budget and get a 2500.
I know you said loaded so I guess if that's what you want then you'll need to up the budget.
Personally, I buy trucks with vinyl floors and seats, etc. They're cheaper, easier to keep clean when the pets and kids make messes, less to break, less weight, etc.
  • Keep looking. Maybe go a few years older?
You'll find something equipped the way you want and, within your budget.
Ordering one is great, if it fits the budget.
