- VernDieselExplorerThese are selling for $2k less than I paid 3.5 years ago. I paid 1.5 percent under dealer invoice with no dealer fees or add ons under the family/employee discount program. 371,000 TT towing miles ago. It's been really a great lil truck & efficient for say a wet TT 7,500 pounds or less.
Ram has been pumping these things off the line since approved earlier this year as they may not provide an 18 MY ED and just sell these until the MY 19 ED arrive sounding like summer of 18. Where else do you see a full size 4WD diesel for under $40k. Granted it's a light duty truck but if you don't have a HD job it seems like a great deal to me. BTW 100k warranty.
N-trouble, You may not have noticed many in your area but they did sell 107,000 with this motor in the first 2.5 years. Read this dealer bought 192 EDs last month and literally has enormous lot full of them. - ib516Explorer II

I think I have seen a total of 3 Ecodiesels in the wild since they have come out.
I would buy a gasser HD truck before even considering one of these.
I'm not sure I would want to own one, but they are very common here in Western Canada. - midnightsadieExplorer IIthey can put any figure they want for a msrp. its the bottom line that counts, do your home work figure out whats fair and make a low offer. I have never paid msrp. or even close ,

all brands of truck.. a truck has the BEST profit for car makers.....
even at a good discount..
reason Japan is making trucks for the USA... - GordonThreeExplorerMark it up so they can discount em I guess?
Probably some sort of tax game too, for the manufacturer and dealers both. - Edd505Explorer18K off puts the market price where it should be to start. A little less profit would sell more trucks, now if they just made an F series.

This time of year they are trying to get rid of the last of last model year off of lot. I bought my truck for $16,000 of of MSRP on X-mas eve 2008.
The ecodiesel only came back on production recently. Unless they had some pigeon holed somewhere for the new epa flash. So I didn’t think they had that many days in supply of the ED. - GordonThreeExplorer

Seems to be a fairly common discount on 1/2 ton trucks. I wish they would do that on the HD's!
Negotiated a similar discount on my 2500 last year, late November. Probably different for every market. Also low trim level don't seem to sell as well as the fancier ones. - Seems to be a fairly common discount on 1/2 ton trucks. I wish they would do that on the HD's!
