19.5 Tire Options

Hey folks looking to replace the tires I have on 08 Silverado.
I am running 225/70R19.5 Toyo M608Z with a load range of G.

Since day one I have not really liked these tires and they are worn out on less than 50K of miles and tend to wander a lot as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am looking for an All Weather type tire as I drive in rain and snow a lot here in the PAC NW.

I am thinking about the Bridgestone M729 anyone have experience with these?

Thanks

  • I run M608z's and am very happy with them, but may run the M920's next.

I'll probably get 50-60K out of mine, but do a lot of dirt road hauling/towing.

Have you considered a 245? They will probably ride better.
  • Wow...you Guys need to replace 19.5's at 50k?

I thought these were good for 150k...at least some Folks claim that...why replace so soon?
  • I think the Bridgestones are probably ok. Others to look at include Michelin XD2 or the Hankook DH01s if you want an agressive tire.
  • I just replaced my tires on our F450 with Contenital HSR in front and HDR in the rear I had great luck with the original set. The tread on the tires were fine but after 7 years they needed to be replaced have right at 50K on them
