If you want a quieter tire, look for a tread pattern with closed blocks on the tire edge. I run open on the rear and closed on the front which is a good compromise for quietness while still offering traction.
I suggest going with a 16PR LRH tire instead of the G rated ones. You will be able to carry the same amount of weight with less tire pressure which will make the ride more comfortable. Since this is a higher weight rated tire, you will also find it has less flex and thicker carcass which will help with wear (for those of you doing more mileage).
Do you know of any H rated tires that have the closed block pattern? In looking at the pictures on the Rickson wheels site there appears to be only 1 mud & snow rated tire with the closed block and it is a G rated Firestone FD690 plus.
