19.5 truck tires

I have a set of 19.5" Michelin XRV tires with 70,000+ miles and about 1/2 the original tread still there.

I also have a set of 19.5" Continental HDR tires with about 50,000 miles on them.

My 2008 truck has had the 19.5" Rickson eliminator wheels and tires since day one - swapped over from the 2004 truck I traded in.

I would not have anything else on my truck, but that's just me.

Bought 6 902 Hercules of off Amazon.com. No tax No shipping, $1160.00 to the door. Had them mounted and balanced for $200. haven't drove to far on them but they should be great. Thanks for all the input

Last year I bought a set of Cooper tires for my truck. Far less than Goodyear or Michelin. I went with the 245 width. The mileage has been great. Tire wear is minimal, the only thing I gave up was a little of the smooth ride. It's hardly noticeable with a load, a little rougher without. Still all things considered, I'm sold on the Cooper tires for my truck. Price, wear, service locally and all is good.

I have the same tires as Bedlam and am presently in Alaska with them and have about 7000 miles on them. As stated they do have some tire whine but nothing to bad. Mine were delivered to the door for $2200, the reason for more is I had them install tire pressure monitors in them so my trucks on board would see TPM. But on this trip something is not working right so I have a TPM monitor failure all of the time on my dash. I have installed my Doran system on them so I can keep track of the tire pressure with it as I had it with me anyway. The only problem is I have been on so many very rough roads it broke my Doran mounting system so it is laying in the console slot but still reads the tires fine.

Four 245 tires mounted and balanced on Vision rims delivered to my door were about $2000.

We are just completing a WA - SD - MO - UT - WA trip at 19k lbs GCW with no tire issues even when approaching triple digit temperatures and freeze rutted roads.

I have the same tires as Bedlam. I bought it prior to OX 2013 and paid $2050 for four tires delivered to my house. Drove to Flagstaff then to Grand Canyon after Expo and put in 3000 miles so far. I agree about the tread whine but doesn't bother me much. I am happy with this purchase and highly recommend it. Btw the size I bought was the 245 16 ply rated at 4805 lbs at 120 psi.

I have to agree that GEOSTAR tires ride rough and had balance problems. I had them on a motorhome and changed back to Bridgestones.

Pacific Shelf tires are junk, IMHO.

Find a place that only does commercial truck tires, or services fleets. You may find better pricing and a well-informed opinion on what tire is best for your F-450. I get my tires from a shop that services hundreds of 450s for a big landscaping company.
