Here's a fresh coat of primer on the floor and over the brown caulking and front wall angle brackets, in prep for a fresh water tank installation.

I had the structurally weak, but otherwise fine condition 1/8" hardboard (drawer bottom) on hand and used it as a spacer between the floor and the fresh water tank. The spacer lifts the edge of the tank to sit safely "on top" of the angle brackets, reducing stress points at those spots and keeping the tank flat to the floor.
I stapled it down unfinished, as I view it as as a replaceable medium between the permanent floor and the tank. I suppose it could disintegrate if I have a water leak, but I'll keep that in mind and if I have such a leak I think I'll want a full clean-up anyway, and that would involve pulling the tank - replacing the board.

Having said that, you "can't never tell 'bout me". I might caulk the edge and cover it all in primer.

Here's how the layout is starting to look - and feel. Note the contrast of original to custom finishes!

And here's yesterday's work - the first coat of bronze. Second coat comes today.
