Now that the sink is in a more or less permanent position, with the extra 1" distance added between it and the stove to better position the drain pipe, I had a top drawer sink cut-out that was bigger than I needed. In fact, the original cutout size would now probably work just fine. Not the particle board, just the size. ;)
And it was an appropriate time to perhaps work out some drawer dividers. That's an easy job. Lot's of details and test fitting and multiple cuts. You know, the fun stuff! The creative stuff!
And thanks for bringing it up AnEv. These are the sorts of modifications that can just as easily be put off until later - never actually getting done. That's part of the reason I'm doing such finish work as I go, even before I come to the certainty of enclosing the front of the camper.
There's always that feeling hanging out there, "what if I can't figure out how to build the cab-over bunk? What if that front cab-over wall fails? As has been said before, "failure is not an option".
So I set the drawer in front of me, took some measurements, cut some scrap, and started 'sperimenting. I didn't grab no hypothesis' though - left them sitting there on the shelf.

I did however start with an assumption - all parts being equal to the "hole".

Without fasteners it was kind of difficult to keep things on the same plane.

But all in all, the force of friction overcome that of gravity.

And eventually I had opposite, but equal reactions.

Then I compressed the far side of the space continuum, to accommodate the reality of the physical properties of my world.

In each case, looking at it from all angles.

Eventually consulting the greatest force in the universe - DW - who added previously unconsidered adaptation to the great constants of paternal design.

And then the planning stage was over and everything moved into the reality of creation.
I heard a "Big Bang" and "Voila", my test scrap pieces changed in the twinkling of an eye to "real birch paneling"!

After enough time in existence, the rough edges of all the players were sanded smooth and well rounded, except of course for the sharp angles needed by those individuals required to keep alignment in the forces holding back chaos.

Some of the players were willing to accept a firm foundation to keep them from shifting about, through the use of the glue holding together all of the universe but with the added force of the staples, while others of less depth needed a little different form of pressure to bring about conformation.

Still others depended upon each other to lean on when put to their tests.

Becoming one with another through time and pressure.

As all are part of a whole, each with a job to perform, each holding a different set of tools, we all come together, in all our different sizes and shapes - and we are one.

And even as a whole, we are but one small piece in the entire system.

And why do we do it? To keep us from all going down the drain.
