Several more days have been spent completing finish coats and cleaning more door edge framing trim and gimp with steel wool, assembling doors and just general preparation to assemble the galley.
Putting the Bombay Mahogany tinted poly over the bronze painted areas really topped it off nice, with that dark mirror finish. But even being very careful, up against the gimp, there was eventual "run" onto the lighter color.
In past I found using a thinner dampened rag to clean the gimp before the excess dried wasn't optimal, as it was too easy to touch and damage the surfaces where you wanted the poly, so this time I let it all dry first. If you look close you'll see how it seeps onto the gimp, often quite a little while after the brush work.

So I used a combination of the bench grinder and a small round file to shape a scraper out of an old screwdriver.

By carefully running this tool along the rounded gimp I was able to clean off the excess poly, resulting in this.

From the gimp supply sack I chose appropriate pieces for stapling to the galley face furniture pieces.

And things were ready for assembly.

All in all, these two pieces are installed with 27 screws. And the counter install will eventually add even more to that number, stabilizing further, the upper reaches of the cabinetry.

This time, I placed the copper drain pipe after installing the galley furniture, and slipped the front fresh water furniture right into place as planned.

And having flipped the direction of the pipe assembly, I got all the distance I needed for the Fernco adapter installation up under the front of the fridge cabinet area.

Then came some final adjustments and I got the drawers installed.

And finally, the cabinet doors - both hinged and pop-off.
