Before I show the back wall, after I got the upper 2/3's of it stapled up, I decided to do some more finish sanding front and back before bringing down the roof metal.
I had originally only sanded the front V-nose by hand - as a first piece and before discovering the orbital on the next and larger pieces. But as I got back into the V-nose with more "by-hand" sanding, I realized it just wasn't going to cut it. I got the orbital back out and altered my technique to do a pretty good job. It's still very hard to get down into the deeper crevices of the diamond pattern. The paint is a very hard automotive type that a PO had sprayed (bright white over original antique white). I'll be in touch with a professional before I decide definitively on paint type and necessity of deeper groove sanding.
But for now I got the edges and the fields mostly done before the process of bending over the roof metal edge.

Out back I bench sanded, hung metal, sanded some more on the camper (not complete yet under the window area), and then took pictures.

With that much done, I brought the roof metal back down.
