1969 Nimrod Pop Up, best floorplan I've seen!

I was going through some pics and found these off of a craigs list listing.

I just love this floorplan. It really has the most space in a small footprint.

I would also add another floorplan as this one but with one of the bunkends replaced with a hinged mult-section, fold down wall ( some what as the rear wall with leg supports for each section) to create a small room for added living area as the Quick Silver 2.0 does.

I love the storage in the walls and love the full stove/oven. A great floorplan. An in wall AC unit could be added just as Livin' Lite, Chalet, and ALiner do with their pop ups.

To many pics to add here, so here is the page with them.

My Nimrod was marketed by Sears and had the Allstate label. No frills, just a tent trailer without any inside amenities. Weighed about 350 lbs (unloaded). Great times camping with the kids traveling all over the Eastern US.

Thanks for posting that pic!!! When I was a kid we had one from Sears too, model 400 IIRC, with a zip on add a room. Nimrod and Apache were the big names in pups back then. At Mom's request dad built a small cabinet across the front between the bunks for clothes. Funny now we 'survived' with no furnace, AC, onboard fridge, sink, stove, etc. Basic, but I still have many fond memories!
  • We started out in an ol' 1967 Nimrod....had a factory add on screen room. That thing got more attention at the campground, everybody wanted to take a look. We had it for a few camping trips back in 1995....bought it ($300), just to see if we liked camping before buying new.

  • WE started out in a (64) Nimrod Rivera, it was the most basic model. Some of my best camping memories are of that time in our lives. Oh, what fun we had! But, those days are gone and we have moved on up... Enjoy it while you can.
  • That is pretty neat, when we were kids my parents had a mid 60s Nimrod Popup.

They sold a JC Higgins Popup and bought the Nimrod, we were really stepping up with the Nimrod.

It was a traditional Popup layout, we made many trips to the Smokey Mountains in the Nimrod.
