Have you thought about adding a leaf or replacing the springs. The reason I mention this is 2 fold. 1, springs are cheep and 2, depending on the amount of use and maintainance your tt has had, and the type spring setup you have, they may be worn where the springs attach to the brackets. There may be bushings etc in the end that may need replacing
