I re-positioned the axles on my previous leaf spring trailer. For it, I simply jacked it up and supported with large axle stands (on its frame rails). And, also used its scissor jacks to support as well. Thus, having primary support and safety supports. All worked great. In all, it actually sounds more complicated than it is.
While doing this mechanical change, I also converted its factory brake wiring from linear design to much better STAR design. This was done using PVC and plastic loom - outside the axle using thicker 10 gauge 12V wiring. This upgrade worked great as well.
