Thanks - here is another question - I took a piece of wire and put it around one of the axle tubes and it's approximately 7-3/4 or 7-7/8" if I measured corectly and I believe I did.
What diameter axles do I have? The smaller 2-3/8" THey do not look like 3" tubes to me, but I'm not sure.
regarding the frame - It appears to be in good shape to me, no cracks. It does have a lot of surface rust on it, but I figure while I'm doing all this axle work and have the camper raised, I'll wire brush and re-paint the frame and cross members while I'm at it. Seems like a good time to do that.
Yes - this this is a real "low rider" to me, it definately needs the axle re-location. It only has 1 step to get in and really it's pretty useless, I don't even extend it to get in and out.
