1997 bigfoot 8.5

Well I sold my 2003 pastime a few years ago and have since upgraded to a 1 ton longbed and its time to start looking for another camper. I came across a 97 bigfoot but am unable to find any real specs on it. I mailed the company but no response. Does anyone have any leads? Is there anything in particular I should be aware of with the molded construct? I want a shorter one so I don't have to upgrade to superhitch or similar to tow my horse trailer.

Thanks!
  • Short bed camper will work on a long bed truck, just build a block for the camper bumpers to hit in front.
  • Did anyone find the spec sheet for a 10C8.10 1997 bigfoot by columbia river? Just wondering if it is a plywood frame or an aluminum frame?
  • Its a 10c8.10FR columbia river by bigfoot made in Oregon. Some concerns with leakage around the side windows and peeling of wallpaper. Seems fiberglass outside with dense foam insualation lined with thin paneling on the inside covered with wallpaper. I havr some hesitation due to that. I do like the layout and interior build. Also the tiedown eyes are welded on aa heavy duty rail much stronger looking compared to the pastimes eye hooks. Also its not the clamshell design burt does have smooth fiberglass exterior wall and a one piece backwall..
  • Thanks guys. If its a shortbox model will it even work on a longbox truck? Maybe I am wssting my time on it. A friend has a nice pastime but askimgore than I want to spend. This bigfoot is under $4k and I like the clamshell idea..
  • Look on the back of the camper to the right of the door. It should have a serial number and model number located there. The model number will read something like this, 15C8.2 for a 1500 series or 25C8.2 for a 2500 series. Another place to look for information as to model and options is in the closet there could be a decal with that info. My guess is that it is a 1500.
  • i'll find out tonight when I go look at it. the owner said he was not sure if was 1500 or 2500 but thought 810 rang a bell. also listed as 8'6" but I can only find 8.2 which is essentially 8'.

do you have the sales flyers in pdf or other digital format you would be willing to email to me?

    thanks a lot!
  • I have a sales flyer for 97 Bigfoots but would need to know if it is a 1500 or 2500 series camper and the length of camper to establish model, so I can give you some specs.
