1997 Jayco Eagle looking for hot water bypass

recently purchased a 1997 Jayco Eagle and need to find out where to find a few things. Manual says there are bypass valves for the hot water heater but I have not been able to find them. Anybody here know where they might be located? Water heater is at the rear of the trailer and is totally enclosed. Also looking for the freshwater tank drain. Freshwater tank is located under the sofa. Any help would be appreciated.

The trailer is a 246FB
  • Our '99 304BH and '03 300FSS had the H/W in the bathroom closet. Bypass valves were behind a slide-in wood panel, near the tank, opposite the exterior access door. Locate for the water inlet pipe into the the tank...valves should be near there.
  • Yes, as O-B stated . Thats the way is was with my 2000 Jayco and my 2016 Jayco.
FW drains were outside, directly under the FW tank.
If the WH is located below the fridge, there should be an access panel below the fridge that unscrews.
  • What Jayco Eagle........???

Any valves for water heater wold be on backside of water heater so there is most likely a 'access panel' that has to be removed -----look where water heater is

Fresh water tank drain........either in compartment under sofa where tank is OR outside under rig directly below where tank is
