1998 generac 34lp generator oil filter and air cleaner

I need to find which oil filter and air cleaner I need for my NP34lp Generac generator. This is in my 98 lance 980 Truck camper. It runs great and only has 26 hours on it. I have searched hi and lo all over the internet nobody can track it down by its model# 00803-3 or 0803-3 or by its serial number 3048483. Can anybody help here. I just can't believe I can't find a thing!!! Driving me crazy. Maybe I should just make sure oil is in it and use. It only has 26 hours on it. I am just having a hard time not changing the oil filter after 15 years. I just bought this a couple months ago. Anybody know where to find oil filter and air filter.

Any help really appreciated.

Dave

Isnt generac a well known brand? I cant belive the place where you bought it doesent sale filters! I can tell you what Id do first, Id whip out my cell phone and take a picture of it and the numbers and letters on the original filter, or better yet take the original filter with me in a ziplock bag and go hunting for it.

ok cool what is it I just spent all this time on the phone with generac and they could not tell me.

    sorry please

Yes that was the problem I was having, you would swear our model and serial numbers mean absolutely nothing! But then I thought they might just be in the manual. Just in case anyone else is wondering. Oil filter is 70185 and the air filter is 78601.

  • Silly me I found the part numbers in the back of the manual and have found both at amazon and other places. This little genny runs on propane and fires right up. If this was a gas genny I can imagine the carb would be plugged for sure with only 26 hours on it.
  • I have the same GEN and I went outside and looked at the owners manual and it dose not list them it just says when to replace. Mine has about 30 hrs and is a 98 I have not replaced filter because it hasent been used much. Your making me feel like im not doing a good job dave, now I have to replace it all befor hunting season!!! I would think if you pull the oil filter and take it to Napa auto parts you will be able to match it up. Im calling generac now
