- Hey_thereExplorerThe dry weight is just a fig newton of the mfg's imagination. The TC probably weighs 3000# +/-. A it much for the 150. Piece of cake for the 350. The difference between the 1999 version and the 2001 version is that the later version has an aluminum frame.
Kurt - DomeExplorerwhy to big for your 150, it's to heavy to long and center of gravity would be way behind the wheels. after saying that you will do what ever you want. hope you decide the safe way for you and who ever is going to be with you.
- AnEv942NomadI have a copy of specs for 2001 Elkhorn, at bottom of page. Don't know how much it may have changed since 1999.
Shows a DRY weight of 2406#. As floor is 8'7" not sure about on the short bed, alot of unsupported floor-CG @46", or the weight on F150. Be good on the f350 long bed all day long...
On edit: ..well assuming its not a short bed modle-specs dont mention if short bed or long bed camper-(floor length given is interior)the 8s has differnt CG of 68" so I assume one is short bed modle-Id think the lesser CG short bed modle?-az a lot of asumptions..
