1st trip in Prime Time Tracer 3200BHT

The wife and I took the new camper out for a test run this past weekend and found out a few things we need to take care of.
Cons:
1st, the bunkhouse door will not stay close, the door knob plunger setting to low for the striker hole. ( Will have to move door hinges)

2nd, the skylight in the kitchen and shower put out a lot of heat. (Need a fix for this ???)

3rd, need to add a hand rail over the small grip handle which should help going up and down the steps. (Will install a hand rail)

4th, need to add a adjustable water pressure regulator, the cheap one sucks. (What is the best one to buy ????)

5th, need to buy some extended wheel lock chocks. (Buy)

6th, One ac unit isn't good at night in the summer time. (Need 50 amp service)

7th. Need to add more storage in bathroom somehow. (???)

8th. Fridge took forever to cool down.

Pros:
1. Love the big shower.
2. Love the layout, Lots of room.
3. Glad we added the 2nd air unit in the bedroom with 95 degs weather if only we had a 50 amp service which we didn't. We ran it at night.
4. Factory mattress isn't that bad when you add a 4" pad from camping world :-) .
5. Love the looks inside and out.
6. Easy to setup.
7. Love the Led lights inside and Led awing light.
8. Outside storage will hold more than it looks.
9. Wife loves the Island sink.

If you guys have some ideas please let me know.

We're really happy with the Fastway XL we've been using since last year. I only have one, as the other pair of tires are usually up on leveling blocks.
  • Other than bunk door not being properly installed the rest of your issues were not something you can blame on your new TT. Not surprised on a TT that large that a single AC isn't enough when camping in the summer heat. All the other issues just require a mod or a trip to the RV store. We have been looking at some of the Primetime rigs here locally including the Tracer and Lacrosse lines. They appear well built and seem to deliver a great value for their pricepoint, what has been your initial response to their overall quality?
  • I usually turn my fridge on 24 hours before I head out on a trip.

WE run two A/C's on 30 AMP with no problem. What do they draw for amperage when the compressors are both running?
Do you have more draw happening that is using all your amperage when you want to use the two A/C's?

I do not have two AC units or 50 amp connections but I thought that each AC unit was on a separate leg of the 50 amp service. If this is correct I bo not understand how you could run two AC units on a 30 amp service. Someone please educate me.
  • Try turning the fridge to propane and turn off the battery charger/converter and water heater to free up some power for the A/C units. That is what I do when I want to run my A/C on my Honda2000 generator.
  • Lights, Fridge , TV and we tried two ac units but it was tripping out on 30 amp service .
