1st year for the 6 liter and 6 speed for a 2500 chev
Neighbor feels he has a 5 speed in his 2001 GMC 2500. I don't feel it does but I forgot when the 6 speed auto arrived for the 6 L gas engine. Not for 2001 but it was later?? chevman

Mine is a 6 speed, 2007, 6 L. Silverado. I believe the 6 speed arrived with the new style 2007s.
