2 ?? plastic shower faucet and toilet seat

Why do TT always seem to use that plastic faucet in the shower and sink? The one in the shower never seems to be shut off and drips all night,

What is with the plastic toilet seat? Heck they give you a porcelain toilet and then ruin it with a cheap seat.

I'm thinking money here just like the mattress. you buy a deluxe TT and they give you a bag of straw to sleep on.

TIA

  • Shower is supposed to drip to remind you to shut the faucet off.

I give up, Why? Buy an Arctic Fox, better built

Truck campers are so small you can't even change your mind in them,LOL 6' 3" and 250 lbs !
  • My cold water handle came backwards. Dealer said all were like that. Too lazy to change it under warranty I suppose. Took me 15 min. Is now correct. After spending all the $$$$ on a Forest River product.
  • Light weight and inexpensive
I changed the kitchen one out to a light weight chrome high necked one. All the fittings just needed to be hand tight, and it was the easiest plumbing job I ever did.
I like the tub and shower one, but if that was leaking, I would either fix it or change it out.

I like the Thetford toilet just as it is.

The name of the game for me is to keep it light

  • Good luck finding a shower faucet replacement.

Haven't seen one with shower hose connection at any place but an RV Parts place and they are all plastic.

Also......check that toilet seat size. Not just any old seat will fit.
Some bowls are oval, some are elongated, some are just wrong.
  • Anything to reduce the weight of the over all camper ... anything.

Just go out and purchase a new wood toilet seat. Switch out the faucet with one from Home Depot. Problem solved!
