2 cycle generators
Hi all! I'm considering an inexpensive 2 cycle generator just for occasionally charging my camper battery. Has anyone had any luck with these?
Thanks
Thanks

There may be one good point to the 2 stroke. Run golden Specto or klotz oil and all the old dirt bikers will be over to bs with you. ??
blendzall is my favorite 2 stroke smell. Good old castro oil blend.
Yep. Nothing like the smell and sound of CR 250 or YZ on the pipe doing a big hill in the woods. Oh yeah.
Indeed, there are noisy 2-stroke engines and quieter ones. The one I listed in my previous post is 60dB at 22 feet whereas the the Honda EU 2000i is 59dB at 23 feet. I'd still rather have my Honda.

Clearly not all four cycle generators are not the same and just as clearly, not all two cycle generators are not the same. There are very noisy ones and quiet ones in both applications...
Honda 2K four cycle gen-59db
1250 Watt 2-Cycle Generator GEN1250-60 db
As I said earlier, this two cycle generator is just slightly louder than my Honda 2K inverter.
Evidently some of the two cycle generators are very noisy as are some of the four cycle,as most have posted but not all of them. This particular two cycle is quieter than the majority of four cycle generators and less than the price of one RV battery.
