2 Stage vs 3 Stage

Found an interesting article, stating that 3 stage charges can actually harm your battery while it has a load on it, as it reads the load as a lower battery and over charges. (remember you can only get a true voltage/level messurement of a battery when it's at rest with no load.)

Wonder if the charger/converts for RVs are actually smart enough to disconnect the battery and charge it issolated. Thought it might be of interest.
  • Just keep your water level up and overcharging will not harm your battery. May make it boil some water out faster than normal but keep it full by checking once a month or so and replenish as needed.
  • HHHUUUMMM, make me wonder how my OEM Deka battery lasted 9 1/2 years on my OEM IOTA 55amp converter? I am plugged in 24/365.

HMMM I just bought a small volt meter at wal mart that had separate test positions for 1 1/2 volt and 9 volt batteries that had a different load built in for each voltage.
