Yip, anything man makes can break at anytime. 20 years as an aircraft mechanic taught me that very well. 1970,I preflighted a new C-5A aircraft, it was loaded up to about 700K+ takeoff weight and was taxing off its parking spot when one of it's 24 main wheel broke in half and shoot across the ramp. Well needless to say that was a big deal.
