20 " tires
I see talk about 20" tires. the ram I am looking at comes with LT285/60R20E OWL tires. are these as good for towing as 18" both are E rated, but I do see a shorter sidewall

It really does come down to what you like or what you feel looks better. There are many options in the 20" size from Nitto to Toyo to Mickey Thompson...... If the ride is harder it's not by much, doubt you'll tell the difference. You can get the tire Ford uses on the Dodge stock wheel, 275/65/20, if you use an aftermarket wheel you'll need to put a simple leveling kit on the front.
