they self-destruct even without adding power... tranny #3 at 180,000 miles got a high power rebuild when I wanted to start boosting power. Triple disk billet TC, heavy duty clutches, solenoids, etc. The shop built it and guaranteed it for 500HP. The silly grin that 500HP would bring was tempered by all the other hobbies and distractions demanding access to my wallet ... one of these days, tho ...
