To paint better picture why I don't need engine brake. The 15-20 miles steep grades I encounter in California and Nevada are all good freeways with not too many curves, so I have no problem taking the turns at 75 mph .
Sure I still remember Colorado when taking mountain curve at 75 mph is out of question, so for such road the extra brake sure is very good thing to have.
