2005 Arctic Fox 30U bedroom wall switch purpose

I bought a used 05 Arctic Fox 30U trailer a few years back. Never been able to figure out the purpose of one of the wall switches in the front bedroom. The switch in question is the switch above the two that control the overhead light and the outside porch light. Can't seem to get a picture from Facebook to post here. Thx

Okay, seem to have the picture thing worked out, pointing to Flickr.

No awning lights or wires up there that would indicate a light at any time. I did send off an email to Northwood with this same question so hopefully between here and the manufacturing I can find an answer. It could very likely be a wiring issue between the switch and the "hitch light". It really is the only logical choice. Thanks

  • Give Northwood a call and I bet they will send you a diagram of the wiring or just tell you. When I had my Fox fiver got a lot of information from them but that was 12 years ago.

Try it and also check the bulb in that light. It might be burned out, thus the switch does nothing.

Just a guess, we had a mystery switch on our Komfort...finally discovered that it, indeed, controlled the front cap 'hitch light'. But the bulb was burned out...:S

Yeah, that was my thought as well but no luck with the test. The hitch light has a switch of its own which shouldn't be problematic but even when the hitch light is on, the wall switch doesn't affect the on/off condition. I may be dealing with a factory wiring shortfall or a prior owner fiddling with things. Thanks for the idea though.
