many factors can contribute to poor fuel economy. From bad MAP or MAF sensors to bad O2 sensors and actual mechanical defects with the running gear. First thing I'd do is see if you have any inactive codes on your ECU. Do you have an OBD II Scanner of any sort? That's the first place to check. Then as others suggest, check your vacuum lines and also check to see if you have any fuel leaking around your injectors.
