2005 Honda Element 2WD Automatic Transmission

Question

We have a 2005 Honda Element that "looks" like it would be an ideal vehicle to be towed. We plan to use a tow dolly. The vehicle is 2WD (not the AWD version) and is an automatic.

Is this vehicle OK to be used on a dolly and what are the special steps to keep in mind?

You can flat tow that car. I have done both and greatly prefer flat towing.

Just don't want to deal with towbars and such.  Looking for a solution that will not require any changes to the tow vehicle.
