2005 ram 2500 4x4 quad vs. 2006 ram 1500 quad 4x4

I got it narrowed down between 2 tow vehicles. Both should be WELL within my towing capacity. I tow a 26' wildwood tbss travel trailer loaded down at 6,700#'s... FIRST, I have found a 2006 Dodge Ram ...

Actually IIRC the '05's had an O/D off (locks out 5th) and the '06's (like mine) have an "O/D off" & a "Tow/Haul" mode... Mine won't lock out 4th in T/H but does change the calibrations/shift points around some. Mostly flat mine stays in 4th and sometimes even 5th (in T/H) but yes it gets into 3rd on the steep climbs. :)
