LMM = LBZ + DPF for the most part
For about $1000-1200 you can run a delete tune and add a DPF delete pipe to the LMM and you basically have an LBZ. Plus with the LMM you get an updated body and interior compared to an LBZ. Lots of high miles LMM trucks on the road. Not sure why people speak so badly of them. Compared to the Ford 6.4 of the same era they are light years better.
More like $1,500 if you do the work yourself and $1,800 if you pay someone (including PCV reroute). The tuner now is $900 with the 5 stage switch. (Assuming LMM)
But either way, just bone stock the truck pulls awesome. And there are no known big issues that occur frequently. I have 125k on mine, 85k is my miles, and only had the four wheel drive actuator go out on me for $600. Other than that, only tires and oil changes.
